Mid-Air Trouble: Trump’s Aircraft Returns To Base Before Davos Visit

Washington: US President Donald Trump's plane, Air Force One, had left for the World Economic Forum event in Davos, Switzerland on Tuesday, but it suddenly returned. The aircraft landed safely back at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, shortly after takeoff. The incident occurred when the flight crew detected a minor electrical problem during the flight and was immediately diverted for safety reasons.

Why did the plane have to return?

Disturbances in lighting and other electrical signals were detected in the cabin of Air Force One shortly after takeoff. White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt said the crew decided to return the plane immediately due to safety concerns. No passengers or crew were injured and the aircraft returned safely.
